Cadet Attachment Program: Station Immersion
BOOK REVIEW:
"The Art of War by Sun Tzu
My station immersion at the Dumaguete City Police Station was one of the most challenging yet fulfilling experiences I had as a cadet. During my time there, I had the opportunity to witness firsthand the life of a police officer, from the daily routine to the demands of the job.
The first step in connecting with the community is establishing an open dialogue. Law enforcers should actively seek opportunities to engage with community members and listen to their concerns, hopes, and fears. This can be done through community events, town hall meetings, or simply walking the beat and talking to people.
Active listening is a crucial element in building relationships with the community. Law enforcers should strive to listen actively and without judgment to what community members say. This means paying attention to non-verbal cues, demonstrating empathy, and asking open-ended questions to encourage conversation.
In addition to active listening, it is essential to demonstrate a commitment to community-oriented policing. This approach to law enforcement focuses on building relationships with community members and working collaboratively to solve problems.
Thanks to the Director, for without him, we would not be able to conduct our Cadet Attachment Program in our respective regions.
WAKEBOARDING
Wakeboarding involves riding on a board while being pulled by a boat, and performing various tricks and stunts in the water. It requires a combination of balance, strength, and skill, and can be quite challenging to master.
We will take a closer look at how wakeboarding has become a popular sport among PNPA cadets. This was an initiative by the son of PMGEN ERIC ESCOSIO NOBLE.
"Daghang Salamat, PMGEN Eric E. Noble sir!"
Hi, I am P/CDT Miljun Aranas, a young and humble individual from Dumaguete City, known as the "City of Gentle People." I have always dreamed of joining the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) and pursuing a career in law enforcement. I believe that being a law enforcement officer is a noble profession that provides an opportunity to serve my country and community.
To share my story, I tried entering the PNPA way back in 2018, but I failed. It was my worst year, and I know it had a significant impact on me. I became irritable, insecure, and withdrawn, refusing to speak to anyone. I couldn't accept the fact that I failed myself and my parents. However, after a year, I tried again and used my failure as an incentive to work harder on my application. Thank God I was given a chance to be part of the MASIDTALAK CLASS of 2023.
Growing up, I was raised with the values of hard work, humility, and dedication. These values shaped me into who I am today and motivated me to strive for academic excellence, develop leadership skills, and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Becoming a PNPA cadet requires tremendous discipline, hard work, and commitment, but I am willing to put in the effort to achieve my goals.
I will forever be grateful to the Lord for guiding me and giving me the will to stand despite the fall that I experienced. As I embark on this new journey, I am fully aware of the gravity of the responsibilities and expectations that come with being a PNPA cadet. I am committed to upholding the values of honor, courage, and commitment and working hard to become the best version of myself. I am determined to make my community and my country proud by serving with dedication, integrity, and compassion.
Please explore my website as I unravel the path to leadership. I hope to motivate the community, especially the youth, and encourage them to be part of the Philippine National Police Academy Corps of Cadets.
Here are some of the videos that I made during my free time in the Cadet Corps. This will show my humorous side despite the challenging life in the Academy.
