A long-awaited dream is one that we have held onto for an extended period of time. It may be something that we have always wanted to do since childhood, or it could be a more recent goal that we have been working towards for years. Just like me, I really wanted to become a Police Officer back when I was a child. The key characteristic of a long-awaited dream is that it has been a consistent desire that has never gone away despite the challenges we have faced.
The reason why long-awaited dreams are so special is that they require a level of dedication and perseverance that not everyone has. Personally, it was my second time applying for the PNPACAT, but it did not stop me to pursue this dream. It's easy to give up on something when we don't see results right away, but those who have held onto their dreams for years have shown commitment to their vision.
For me, my long-awaited dream is to become a Police Officer. I have been studying for four years, submitting myself to the Academy but have yet to find success. Despite the challenges, I keep on striving and making my way up to graduation, knowing that one day my aspirations will be met and seen by everyone.
Regardless of the nature of the dream, the waiting can be agonizing. We can grow disheartened and question whether we will ever reach our objective. We may feel as though we are exerting all of this work for nothing, and wonder if it is even worthwhile. But those who have realized their long-awaited dreams will tell you that every moment was worth it. Never abandon your dreams, and always pray to God. Be patient, continue to strive till you realize your dream.
